Terms of Service

Last updated: 1 June 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of GritScore ("we", "us", "our"), operated by Alexander Andronov. By using GritScore you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

GritScore is an AI-powered tool that analyses a candidate's CV and produces a startup-fit score, breakdown, and interview recommendations. The analysis is generated by artificial intelligence and is intended as a decision-support tool only — it is not a substitute for human judgement. You remain responsible for all hiring decisions you make.

2. Who Can Use GritScore

You must be at least 18 years old and using the service for lawful business purposes. GritScore is designed for employers, recruiters, and hiring professionals evaluating candidates for employment. You must not use GritScore for any discriminatory, unlawful, or automated decision-making purpose without human review.

3. Candidate CVs

By uploading or pasting a candidate's CV, you confirm that:

  • You have a legitimate business reason to evaluate this candidate (e.g. they applied for a role you are hiring for).
  • You are the data controller of the candidate's personal data, you have a lawful basis to process it, and you have met any transparency or notice obligations you owe the candidate under applicable data protection law.
  • You will use the analysis as one input into a hiring decision made by a human reviewer, not as the sole basis for rejection or selection.
  • You will handle the output in compliance with applicable employment and data protection law in your jurisdiction.

4. Data Processing

For candidate personal data contained in a CV you upload, GritScore acts as your data processor and you are the controller. In that capacity we will:

  • Process candidate data only to provide the analysis service and only on your instructions.
  • Keep candidate data confidential and apply appropriate security measures.
  • Use only the sub-processors listed in our Privacy Policy, under appropriate data processing terms.
  • Assist you, so far as reasonably possible, in responding to data-subject requests.
  • Retain candidate data only as long as needed to provide the service and delete it on request, as set out in our Privacy Policy.

Full details of what we collect, how long we keep it, and your rights are in our Privacy Policy.

5. Payment

Access to the full analysis report requires a one-time payment of the fee displayed at checkout (per report — there is no subscription). All payments are processed securely by Stripe. Fees are charged in the currency shown at checkout.

Refund policy: We do not offer refunds once a report has been successfully delivered. If the service fails to deliver a report due to a technical error on our part, you are entitled to a full refund, which we will issue promptly.

6. Acceptable Use

You must not:

  • Upload CVs of individuals for purposes unrelated to genuine employment evaluation.
  • Use GritScore to build datasets, train AI models, or benchmark AI systems.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer the scoring methodology or prompts.
  • Use automated tools to submit requests at scale beyond normal business use.
  • Resell or redistribute GritScore analysis outputs without our written permission.

7. AI Limitations

GritScore uses large language models to analyse text. AI analysis can be inaccurate, inconsistent, or biased. We make no warranty that scores or assessments are accurate, complete, or free from error. Always apply your own professional judgement when interpreting results.

8. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GritScore and its operators are not liable for:

  • Hiring decisions made in reliance on GritScore analysis.
  • Errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in AI-generated output.
  • Indirect, consequential, or special damages arising from use of the service.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of GritScore shall not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant report.

9. Intellectual Property

GritScore, its scoring system, prompts, and interface are our proprietary technology. You retain no rights to the underlying model, methodology, or infrastructure. The analysis report delivered to you is licensed for your internal business use only.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. By using GritScore, you agree that any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, regardless of where you are located. If your local law prohibits this choice of jurisdiction, the parties will use reasonable efforts to resolve disputes amicably before resorting to litigation.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always available at gritscore.xyz/terms. Continued use of GritScore after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
